Edward Weston photographed natural landscapes and still lifes. He utilized the subltle tones and sculptural design of the natural world such as shells, rocks, peppers and cabbages. He began experimenting with modernism in the 1920's, in the late 1930's explored surrealism and abstract expressionism.
I am drawn to Weston's quest for the beauty and simplification of ordinary mundane objects.

This series seems right up your alley with the studio lighting. As you choose objects, think about connecting them through a series or visually through color or texture. Also check out his influences as a photographer.
@gmLavonne, I was interested in this photographer, too! I'm really attracted to those type of clean lines. I was thinking about doing a triptych theme for mine. Maybe this wouldn't be a bad thing to think about with the b&w, linear theme Weston and White use. You could look at my blog to see what I mean.
With your light box I think Weston would be a good match. You have gotten some excellent images with it.
